Landa Pool
We made our first trip to the Landa Park pool today. To say that the boys had fun would be an understatement. We started at the "Zero Depth Pool", which is a chlorinated kiddie pool. It has a small water slide, about 4 feet long. The boys had a lot of fun on that. Then we put on their life jackets and went to the "Olympic Pool" and waded with the boys for a while. The boys practiced their kicking. Then it was more sliding, followed by a snack. The only spot we saw was in the sun so snack time wasn't too relaxing, but Dan went in search of greener pastures and he was successful!
We moved to a nicer, shadier, calmer, less congested area near the springer pool. We got a nice spot in the shade of a tree and set up camp. So the boys finished their snack.
After snack Dutch wanted to play on the playscape that Dan discovered and we were sitting near.
Baker wanted to go down the big water slide though so Dan took him. It was AWESOME! Dan went Baker a few times and with Dutch once. After one time Dutch wanted to go on his own. We were nervous but he did great! And he did it A LOT. Baker loved it too, but we wouldn't let him go alone.
After a couple of hours at the pool, we decided it was time to head home and get dinner started. Now, it was about 4:30 pm and Baker had not taken a nap yet, he was tired. Both boys slept hard the whole way home.
At home we had sausage and a movie.
I think we all had a good day!
