While listening to Bohemian Rhapsody (and me singing "Galelio! Galelio!") Dutch - What do all these words mean?! .... This is a very fancy song.

Wednesday morning Stan flew Dan to San Angelo in his 210 to pick us up. The boys enjoyed their flight. Dutch liked going through clouds the best and Baker was so relaxed he fell asleep.

Tuesday Jason came up to help Dan pack up smaller things and move bookshelves. They also worked on his truck, but it still won't start. They were able to fix most of the fence in Annie's pen though! Back in San Angelo Jeannette took the boys and I to the library. The San Angelo library is AWESOME! Then back home for some lunch. And playing... After that Baker was very much in need of a nap. That night Marshall and Gina joined us for dinner and Marshall showed Dutch how to pump iron and flex those muscles!

Dutch: I sure have learned a lot from cartoons I've watched. Momma: That's true. Have you learned a lot from Momma and Daddy too? Dutch: Not really.

While driving in the car this morning "Ice, Ice, Baby" by Vanilla Ice came on the radio. Dutch then said: "Momma, this song makes me look cool."

Wildflowers

Image
The boys have been picking flowers for me whenever we are out and about. They have really enjoyed picking one of every color.  But today there was only one color in our yard and they made sure to tell me they picked these flowers for themselves.  I still think they are pretty on our table, even if they are not for me ;)

03/29/2015: Wonder World Park

Image
Dan went to DC for some meetings back in February.  While he was there Dutch saw an episode of The Berenstain Bears that involved exploring a cave.  He decided that sounded like fun and immediately asked if he could call Daddy to talk to him about it.  We called Dan and Dutch explained that he would like to explore a cave that does not have any wild animals or scary things in it.  Well fast forward to a few weeks later and we decided to go to Wonder World Park and do the Balcones Fault Line Cave tour.  Yes, we all went.  I have been pretty freaked out by caves for most of my life, usually the thought of it makes me want to pass out.  But I sucked it up and decided to go for it anyway.  I did great!  I didn't get freaked out at all.  I think that having to carry Baker through most of it helped distract me from my usual fear. Enough about me though, the boys thought it was pretty awesome.  They even laughed when the tour guide dem...

03/24/2015: Coloring Easter Eggs

Image
We dyed Easter 'eggs' last week.  I use the word eggs loosely because they were actually a foam/paper composite that I found at Wal-Mart.  I wanted Baker to be able to dye eggs this year, but didn't want him touching real eggs.  The fake eggs worked pretty well, they didn't hold the colors as well as real eggs do, but the boys still enjoyed it.

03/07/2015: Sherwood Forest Faire

Image
We were invited to go to the Sherwood Forest Faire with a friend that the boys and I met in our playgroup.  So we loaded up our families and made the trek out for our first Renaissance Festival.  Dan and I weren't sure what to expect, but we had a blast!  We did a wide range of things and Dan and Austin ate some 'meat on a stick' so we know they enjoyed themselves. {The Boys riding in Ye Olde Carriage aka a padded garden wagon} {Pony Rides, always a favorite for Dutch} {The Clown Show} {Dutch being naturally nervous near the clown, smart kid} {The Castle Entrance, we weren't allowed to go in though} {Dan throwing knives, he landed one!} {Alicia and I threw axes, we did not land one} The Maze - The Boys favorite part, it was super fun, but a little bit stressful when all three boys went in different directions. {Asher, Baker, & Dutch} {Asher, Alicia, and Dutch} {Finally found the center and rang the bel...
