On Thursday we went to the house so the boys and I could see it. I helped Dan continue to pack things and the boys played with chalk on the back porch. We walked around the house some and the boys were fairly shocked by it. Baker immediately asked "What are we going to do now?" And Dutch said "Our house is really, really, really ruined." They both asked lots of questions and seemed somewhat concerned. We did our best to reassure them and remind them that it will be ok because we are all together. Oh I should also mention that from Wednesday until Friday Dutch would randomly say "WHY did we have to leave Pawpaw's and Grandma's house to come here?!" {Pantry} {Laundry Room} {Garage} {Kitchen} {Dining, Family, and Bedrooms} {Guest Bath} {Weird Closet Room} I have gotten us pretty set up in the hotel. I've got all our clothes put away, made a make shift kitchen, and dish cleaning area.

Wednesday morning Stan flew Dan to San Angelo in his 210 to pick us up. The boys enjoyed their flight. Dutch liked going through clouds the best and Baker was so relaxed he fell asleep.

Tuesday Jason came up to help Dan pack up smaller things and move bookshelves. They also worked on his truck, but it still won't start. They were able to fix most of the fence in Annie's pen though! Back in San Angelo Jeannette took the boys and I to the library. The San Angelo library is AWESOME! Then back home for some lunch. And playing... After that Baker was very much in need of a nap. That night Marshall and Gina joined us for dinner and Marshall showed Dutch how to pump iron and flex those muscles!

Dan spent Memorial Day trying to get flooring ripped up by ServPro. Then late that afternoon Roland, Austin, and Matt came over to help him move all our giant furniture into a storage unit. They made 2 trips with a U-Haul truck and got all the big stuff out.

We were in San Angelo visiting family when we heard, on Saturday, that a flood was coming.  Dan started driving home at 4:30am on Sunday and the boys and I stayed behind. We heard that IH35 was closed and we knew the normal back country roads we take would be washed out so Dan took I10 to San Antonio to get back. It took him about 5 hours but he couldn't get to the house right away. He did eventually get there. These are the pictures our neighbor sent me before Dan could get there. 7:15am 7:30am When Dan got there he sent me this picture: That is the carpet in our bedroom.
