The kitchen was one of the first rooms that we worked on.  I've decided to start a series of remodeling before/after posts so I'm starting from the beginning. Notice the white area in the upper right corner of the below picture.  Those were upper cabinets that blocked off the view to the living room.  We don't have a full picture of the 'before' of that. Before:  After: In the picture below that was not really an island before the remodel.  The open spot on the left was really a panty and fridge hole.  The only spot you could see the living room was via a pass through between the sink and upper cabinets.  As mentioned earlier we don't have a full before picture of that :( Before: After:   Before:  After:  

Here are a few before and after photos of the master bedroom/bathroom since I finally got it finished up.  We moved in last week (just in the nick of time).

Well, May has been a busy month.  It kicked off with a great baby shower thrown by my Mom and Grandma.  We had a good turn out and I really enjoyed visiting with everyone.  I recieved some piece of great advice from everyone there, from what a recieving blanket is to helpful resources for nursing.  All in all it was a great shower and I'm very thankful to Grandma Betsy and Mom for hosting it! After that we had the Turner Family Reunion.  It was a great turnout, with lots of family, lots of food, and lots of visiting.  We got to mingle with members of my family, and we got a CD of old family pictures, including a picture from my Great Great Grandparents wedding in 1898. This past Memorial Day weekend, was quite a journey.  We ventured down to Corpus Christi for Ryan's Class of 2010 high school graduation on Friday night.  After the ceremony we all went to Big Sam's, one of my Aunt and Uncle's favorite spots.  That was a bla...
