The Miller Memories

I walked into the boy's room the other day and saw this: I'm pretty sure Teddy Bear got dropped on the way to play with something else.  I couldn't help but enjoy how relaxed he looked.  It's almost like he was just hanging out watching the craziness of our household.

In November Dutch and I tried out the baking soda and colored vinegar trick.  We had a lot of fun.  Dutch wanted to cover every little speck of baking soda with colored vinegar and watch it bubble up.

I was looking through pictures and found this one of Dutch from March 2011.  I think he was craving 'some uh dem french fried putaters.'

Dutch came into the family room to play me a song on his guitar. The title of his original tune is: "I don't have to play in my room anymore, let's just get ready for bed."

After a good nights sleep we woke up and relaxed on the screen enclosed front porch.  Dan and I enjoyed some Starbucks while the boys played cars. Since we still had over an hour until our scheduled event started we decided to go for a walk around the neighborhood.  It was windy down by the bay, but it felt great walking around. {Dan's pic from his phone on his solo walk before coffee.} After that we bundled up a bit and went to Space Center Houston.  The boys especially liked the kid section of the Space Center.  Dutch also really enjoyed an in person (non-astronaut) presentation about life in space.  We learned some interesting (and gross) things about astronaut life. {Dutch hit his mark every time on this game.} {How much do you weigh on Jupiter?} {Can you land the space shuttle? So after the sky tower we decided to try some more rides.  We all hopped on one called the Rocket, it was supposed to look like a rocket, but it was kind of shaped like a hot dog.  It rocked back and forth and slowly spun around.  Even Baker liked it.  Dutch had been asking if he could ride what I dubbed the "Whip It," so we agreed if Dan rode with him.  I took video because I don't think I could explain what this ride did in a way that you would understand. While Dan and Dutch waited in line for the Whip It, Baker wanted to try the Torture Chamber, I mean Carousel.  We got off before it started and went to watch Dan and Dutch. After that we decided to walk around the actual Boardwalk and look at the water, birds, and boats.  We also went in search of the carnival games and arcade.
