Visit In San Angelo

Image
We had a great time visiting all our San Angelo family last weekend.  It was doubly nice because Aunt Viv was able to drive down with us.  Dutch put on his best face and we had a wonderful visit.

Slow Week

Well, its been a slow few days, but we're never down for too long. Last Saturday Dutch attended his first birthday party.  I think he had a good time, mostly he hung out, got lots of love from people, and ate.  He couldn't yet partake in the birthday cake, but I think he enjoyed it all the same.  I know Nash (the birthday boy) had a good time! The rest of this week has been pretty low key.  We took some baths, napped, ate, smiled, fussed, ate some more :) So like I said, we don't stay down too long.  We are leaving tomorrow to go to San Angelo to visit Dan's family and then next weekend we are headed to Port Lavaca to visit Capri's grandparents and to meet Capri's Great Grandmother (aka Dutch's Great Great Grandmother).  We are super excited and we'll see you all soon!

Hats & Shots

This weekend we went looking for a hat for Dutch to wear when we go for our family walks.  We found a couple options at Babies R Us.  We decided on the standard baseball cap, because you can't beat a classic.  Its a little big right now, but that means it blocks more sun :) This morning we went for his 2 month check up.  Dutch is growing up great!  He is right on target for his length (23 inches) and weight (11lbs 10 oz).  He also got his first round of vaccinations, which involved a lot of tears from both Dutch and Mom.  Good news is everyone is doing just fine now.

Weekend(s) Update

A couple of weekends back we made a long haul to Dallas to visit Mike, Holly Jo, and Sam.  Dutch had a great time meeting his family, but Mom and Dad forgot to take the camera...oops!  Luckily they had one so plenty pictures were taken and I'll post a couple once I have copies.  Over Labor Day weekend my cousins, Cassandra and Ryan, came to visit.  They had a long weekend away from classes in Odessa so they made the haul over to San Marcos.  We loved having them around, and it gave us a chance to see how much food a teenager can pack away :)  Here are a few pics from theit visit. Dutch has been talking so much more lately and he loves when you say Hello to him.  He even tries to say it back.
