The Miller Memories

It's official, Dutch is 4 and now that he is 4 one of his first questions was "Can I be 5 now?"  He is so ready to grow up, sometimes.  Other times he wants to "just be a boy." {Week before Dutch was born} {Just a minute old} {5 days old} {one month old} {one year old} {2 years old} {3 years old} {4 years old} Dutch's current stats are as follows: Height - 42 inches (84th percentile); he has grown 2.5 inches in the last year! Weight - 38 lbs (67th percentile); up 4 lbs from last year Shoe Size - 10 Shirt Size - 4t Shorts Size - 2t/3t Some of his current favorites are: Food - Almond Butter & Honey Sandwich Color - Pink Animal - Cow Game -  Heroes, when I asked him what that was he said "it is doing something brave."  

I am not going to ramble on about how my baby boy turned 2 today and how I can't believe how fast it has gone by and that I am not willing to accept that my baby will be a preschooler before I know it.  Nope, I will not even mention those thoughts of mine.  Instead I will focus on how freakin' cute he is! Before we get started, lets take a look back at how Baker has grown. {day before Baker was born} {this day 2 years ago} {in the NICU} {finally home, 5 days old} {early May 2013} {today, 1 year ago} {today, 2 years old} So let's start with his stats: Weight - 27 lbs 6 oz (44%); he gained 3 lbs since November! Height - 34.5 inches (54%); HE GREW 7 INCHES IN THE LAST 6 MONTHS!! The Dr remarked at his astonishing growth spurt.  He jumped % pretty majorly.  Baker had been consistently in the 30%-34% for height and 25% for weight.  He is now in the median range which is great. Shoe Size - 6 Clothing Size - 18 m...

I can't believe how fast this year has gone by!  It can't have been 12 months already, there is just no way!  And yet it has actually been almost 13 months at the time I'm writing this.  Crazy!! So as of Baker's 12 month check up he has racked up the following stats: Weight:  21 lbs 12 oz (31st percentile) Length:  29.25 in (38th percentile) Pants/Shorts: 12 months Shirts: 9-12 months Socks: 12-24 months Shoes: Size 4 He is small for his age, but we think he might be hitting his growth spurt late.  It seems like for the last few weeks all he wants to do is EAT!  Well, eat and play.  He never stops moving, he just wants to walk all over the house and get his hands into everything.  We have baby gates that we keep up in our bedroom and they worked great with Dutch, well Baker will just walk over and move them out of the way.  He wants to go where he wants go and you better not try to stop him! Happy Belated 9 Months to Little Baker! * Length - 28.5 inches (51st percentile) * Weight - 20 lbs 5 oz (49 percentile) * Onesie Size - 6/9 month * Diaper Size - 3 Kisses from Big Bro   I love the little details.  Like the how he has to eat everything he finds.  That is more of a love/hate but that's a long story...well not really.  I mean its cute when he 'eats' his toys, it is not cute when I'm trying to make dinner and he seems to find a piece of broken grout and I have to fish it out of his mouth. Look at those sweet eyelashes. He has started standing on his own.  He does it best if he has something in his hand, I think it distracts.   We just love our handsome little man.  I can't believe how fast he is growing!

At age 2.5 years old Dutch is still amazing us everyday! Weight: 31 lbs (50th percentile) Height: 38 inches tall (86th percentile) Wear:  His pants sizes vary widely because he is so tall and lean. He can still fit into 18 month pants in the waist, but they are WAY to short.  24 month pants are somewhat short but fit pretty well in the waist.  2T pants are perfect in length, but sometimes are too big in the waist Shirts are 2T. Size 6-7 in shoes. Sleep: We get started on bedtime at about 7pm and he is down in bed by 7:30pm.  He usually lays in bed wide awake, just silent and petting his teddy bear for a while (like 30 mins to 2 hours).  We like to imagine him thinking about his day and all the fun he had On a normal bed-time day he wakes up around 7:45 am. Little Bro is one half year old!!  He has made sure that this has been an eventful half year, especially the last couple of months.  He has really become the mover and shaker, but more on that later.  First, here are his stats: * Length - 27 inches (75 percentile) * Weight - 17 lbs 8 oz (60 percentile) * Onesie Size - 6/9 month * Diaper Size - 3 An interesting little factoid:  Little Bro is the EXACT same length that Big Bro was at 6 months old and Little Bro is only 2 oz larger. So milestone wise Little Bro has been BUSY!  Just after he turned 5 months old he got his first taste of rice cereal (see that funny face here ).  A week or so after that he got to try sweet potatoes.  He never quite came around to plain rice cereal so we started mixing fruits and vegetables into it.  He is a little better with it, but over all he would really like to skip the baby food and rice cereal altogether.  He wants some REAL food and he wants it ...
